Congratulations to the Presleys!
Elvis & Lisa Marie

Elvis now has two more grandchildren! His daughter Lisa Marie gave birth to adorable twin girls. One wights 2.7kg the other 2.3kg.

A statement was made that said that babies and their mom were healthy and having a rest at home.

Armenian Elvis Site wishes all the best to Lisa Marie and her husband Michael Lockwood. Let the twins be happy, healthy and as talented as their Granpa!

New Elvis Unlimited Mag Is Out
f

The new issue of one of my favorite Elvis magazines is out. This on is very special to me, since it was your humble servant who colorized the photo used on the cover of this issue.

The mag is gonna have an interesting interview with Ernst Jorgensen, actually part 1 of the interview and I'm looking forward to reading it. The prevous interview with collector-legend Sherif Hanna had me glued to the magazine.

Among other materials you get the CD, DVD & book reviews as well as much more.

We are very happy to inform you that Gaither Television Productions have been awarded a Communicator Awards of Excellence for the wonderful "Elvis Lives: The 25th Anniversary Concert Special". Gaither Television Productions also won a second award for The Gospel Music of Johnny Cash.

"The estates of both Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash entrusted GTP with the legacy of these two renowned artists, so there is a great sense of validation that we touched people in telling their stories," said Barry Jennings, president of Gaither Television Productions.

Million Dollar Quartet Musical in September
Million Dollar Quartet

A new musical inspired by a legendary 1956 recording session involving Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley is headed to the Goodman Theatre in September. And the co-director is Eric Schaeffer, the widely acclaimed artistic leader of the Signature Theatre in Arlington, Va., and a Broadway director. The musical, which has aspirations beyond Chicago, isn’t a Goodman production, but a commercial venture that’s renting t he Owen Theatre space in an unusual deal. It already has been produced on the West Coast, but Schaeffer said this week that his involvement is new and that the piece is being rewritten and redesigned for Chicago. Gigi Pritzker is among the producers.

The Final Farewell
Final farewell last concert CD Elvis

To be released soon is a new CD with the last concert Elvis gave in Indianapolis on June 26, 1977. The King's last performance indeed was something outstanding as compared to the other shows of that tour.

The new 2CD version allegedly should have a much better sound. It will also have the pre-programme of the show. A 20 page color booklet with detailed information is another stimulus to purchase that particular edition. + an A3 poster (it's gonna be folded a lot I suppose).

The CD will be released by Rainbow records that previously was behind Vegas variety releases.

Graceland Has New Exhibition
Graceland Two new exciting exhibitions chronicling two key periods of Elvis’ life – “Private Presley” and “Elvis 68” – are scheduled to open at the Graceland visitor center in March 2008 and will feature many items from the Graceland archives that have never been on display to the general public. Also new this year is an expanded and enhanced VIP Tour.

“Private Presley” covers the time 50 years ago when, at the zenith of his early superstardom, Elvis Presley was inducted into the army. He performed his duties like any other soldier with none of the special treatment his celebrity status might have afforded him. After completing basic training and initial service in Texas, in October 1958 Elvis was sent to Germany where he served until March of 1960. It was during his time abroad that he met his future wife Priscilla Beaulieu. click here to continue
